OUR HISTORY

ABOUT THE WAR WAGON

Rolling into its seventh season, "The War Wagon" is more than just a tailgating bus — it's a Chiefs Kingdom icon.

Owned by lifelong Chiefs fans Rich and Barb, this bold red-and-yellow beast makes its pilgrimage to every single home game, bringing the party with it. Whether it's blazing hot in September or bone-chilling cold in December, The War Wagon is there — music blasting, grill sizzling, and fans cheering.

But what makes this bus legendary? Look no further than the autograph-covered roof and sides. Every single person who has stepped foot on The War Wagon has left their signature behind — from die-hard fans to the famous faces of Chiefs Kingdom. Yes, Kevin, Jason, and even Travis himself have signed their names on its walls. It’s a rolling time capsule of Kansas City pride.

Rich and his crew are tailgating pros, and they’re no strangers to the spotlight. The War Wagon has been featured on local news stations, and Rich even made an appearance in the Hallmark movie “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.”

Visitors are always welcome at the tailgate — whether you're a seasoned fan or just discovering the magic of Arrowhead. Stop by for a beer, grab some BBQ, and don’t forget to snap a photo with The War Wagon. Who knows — you might even get to add your name to the bus.

After all, in Kansas City, we don’t just tailgate — we make memories. And The War Wagon? It’s driving them forward, one home game at a time.
